The Moody 37 is a popular family cruiser with a spacious layout and an excellent owner's cabin aft.
A well proven and comfortable design ideal for family cruising in comfort, or extended periods aboard.
This example is well equipped with an eye to economical blue water cruising 

Accommodation

Seven berths in three cabins. 

Forward cabin: Good size double V berth with infill, hanging locker and cabin heating radiator. Opening hatch to foredeck. En-suite access to forward heads compartment. 
Forward Heads: Heads compartment with Jabsco marine toilet (New in 2018), wash basin, shower and storage lockers. Cabin heating radiator.
Saloon: Spacious saloon with 'L' shaped seating to starboard and settee berth opposite, central table with double drop leaf, side lockers and under-berth stowage. Lee cloths.
Chart table aft to starboard with full instrumentation, navigators passage berth with lee cloth. 
Galley: 'U' shaped galley aft to port, Two burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven. Twin stainless steel sinks with pressurised H&C water supply, 12v top opening refrigerated icebox.
Aft Cabin: Large aft cabin with double berth to port with settee opposite, ample hanging and shelved lockers. Cabin heating radiator. Opening hatch to aft deck. En-suite access to aft heads compartment. 
Aft Heads: Heads compartment with sea toilet, wash basin and storage lockers. Cabin heating radiator.

Mikuni diesel fired central heating with radiators, also providing hot water. 
Hot water is heated by a conventional 230v calorifier/immersion heater with engine circulation, and the Mikuni diesel heater

Located under the cockpit in acoustically insulated engine room, Thorneycroft 108  four cylinder naturally aspirated 50hp diesel engine. Freshwater cooled.
New Hurth gearbox fitted in 2004, upgraded from standard.

History And Construction

White GRP hull with style stripes. Alloy toe rails. White GRP superstructure with moulded non-slip surface to decks.
Long fin keel with Skeg hung rudder.
Centre self draining cockpit. Wheel steering. 

The hull was epoxied below the waterline in 2001. A refit was completed in 2000/1 which included re-wiring, re-plumbing, re-rigging, all windows and hatch glazing renewed and the fitment of much new equipment.
New keel bolts 2005.
2012 - Full top end overhaul on engine, head skimmed, valves overhauled and injectors serviced.
2015 - New standing rigging fitted. Watermaker fitted with new inlet seacock/skin fitting.
2018 - New Blakes outlet seacocks on discharge side to both heads, and new inlet seacock to aft heads
