The boat has four totally separate living areas: A spacious bridge, where the navigational controls and the vessel’s operational equipment are concentrated. In the same area is located the navigation zone, equipped with a chart-desk and spacious enough to allow for the installation of any navigation aids that may be considered necessary. Here are also located the access stairs to the fore part of the boat, where are to be found the galley, the crew’s cabin with bathroom and two double cabins with their shared bathroom. Aft of the bridge there is a saloon with a sofa, a central table and a sideboard-bar cabinet opposite with fitted television and other equipment. The saloon gives access to a cabin area consisting of the owner’s cabin, which has a double bed and is also equipped with a full private bathroom. From here access is also gained to the machine room. On deck there is a spacious area aft of the saloon lined with Burmese teak, giving access to the solarium zone, which is also lined with teak. On each side following the outline of the bridge are two passageways lined with teak giving access to the fore area with a handrail of adequate height topped off by a varnished sipo mahogany banister. On the flybridge there is a spacious solarium, and within this area there is an external navigation zone with cockpit and control panels installed in a module that allows for installation of all equipment necessary to aid navigation, and including two seats for two persons which are raised to make for better visibility. The hull, deck and bridge are built of welded steel. The flybridge is made of polyester-reinforced fibreglass. This makes it possible to reduce the total weight and lower the centre of gravity, which, together with the use of stabilizers, helps produce extremely comfortable sailing conditions. All the decks are surfaced with Burmese teak and the skirtings at the edges are of varnished sipo mahogany, which gives an extremely prestigious appearance to the exterior of the boat. Most of the infrastructures (electricity, water, hydraulics, etc.) have been designed and installed to last for a long period of time and their location gives easy access should any repairs be necessary. All the external steel has been covered and protected with Jotun Epoxy primer. The hull colours have been chosen to give the boat a stylish, modern image. The IDHRA 55 has been completely refitted, so that the only original element that remains is the steel ship’s frame, the other parts of the craft being brand new.
