The famous fast cruiser/racers DB1 and DB2 formed the basis for the extremly successfull range of the Dehler 34/106. Introduced with new design features as the lengthend hull and different (better) interior layout, the Dehler 34/106 has earned the appreciation by many and is already a classic in its own right. Excellent performance under sail, innovative design, comfort and ease of handling make this yacht ideal for family cruising with "a kick".
Aditional information on Dehler 34 in Lefkas
Hello!
I am the owner of the Dehler 34 1988 I am the 4-th owner
After the boat was produced, the first German owner sailed it to Red Sea and back (I can see it from the flags found on board. Then a Bulgarian musician bought it and brought it by land transport in Bulgaria where it stayed many years in the port of Carevo. The name of the boat at this time was "Akasha" . Every year it was professionally maintained and stored ashore. Very few sailing and motoring because the owner (Venko) who I Knew in person) was afraid to sail it alone.. After he passed away his daughter sold it. to my friend (Branimir) who changed the name to "Victory" and he sold it to me in 2014. I changed the name to "Evrika" because Archimedes invented the law (I am a lawyer) for flotation, and without this law the ships wouldn't flow :-)
For one year the boat stayed in the port of Sosopol, then I moved it in Greece and sailed with family and friends in Aegean, Crete and Ionian seas. Never used for charters.
Last year I changed the fore stay and the shrouds. The sails are in good condition. Everything on board works except the anemometer. The glass on one of the solar panels is cracked but it works.
The engine is on real 1700 h. (2019) and regularly maintained. Works like a Swiss watch. The engine is Yanmar 20. Works perfect. You can start it with your hands if no power in the batteries.
The boat has new shrouds and forestay (2018). April 2019 I have changed the oil and oil filter and the propeler of the water pump of the engine. The sails are in very good condition. They are kept inside in the winter and have sun protector for the summer. Yesterday I have cleaned the iron keel and painted it with epoxy paint - at least 10 years no rust is expected.
THE BOAT IS ABSOLUTELY READY TO SAIL AROUND THE WORLD!
The only things that do not work is anemometer . The deep sounder works, but the display has faded and is hard to read the digits. A new deep sounder maybe combined with chart plotter. (I navigate with ‘Navionics"on my water proof phone "CAT")". The is also a weather predicting device Navtex, but I never use it since internet forecasts are much easier to get. The radar is working, but in Greece it is useless- no fogs. The GPS in Panasonic and works well, but it has no map - only digits of the position. Old model. In 2019 I installed the new solar panel. Now it has 2x40 and 1x100 Wats.
The keel bolt are not touched since production and has absolute no issues or problems.
The boat has a lead acid starting battery 90 AH ; 1x100;1x90 + 1x40 Ah household batteries that have no issue.
I am almost ready with a DIY wind wane autopilot, that goes with the boat (for long ocean passages). The electronic autopilot Autohelm 2+" is new (2018) and goes with the boat. I intend to keep only the dingy.
Not a drop of water comes into the boat.
Around end of may 2019 I intend to go in Ierisos again and launch the boat. Then you and the other buyers will be able to make a sea trials.
If I do not sell the boat until May, I will change the Flag to Bulgarian, as the existing Holland flag expires in 2020 and after the recent changes in Dutch legislation the sports organizations do not give you the right to cary the flag. And the states registration apears very expensive according to my registration dealer.
So if you buy consider which flag to put.
Best regards.
I am seriuos: the boat is ready to sail around the world with no additional work..
It is very strog and seaworty. See these trials with Dehler 30:
