Electronics, Main HVAC, Refrigerator, Batteries, Charging system and Bilge pumps are all new. The helm and distribution panels have been upgraded with new gauges, breakers and wiring where needed. The Arch was replaced with Aluminum and the deck around the davit has been re-cored and reinforced. The exterior wood work has been refinished, and New "Sea Deck" Decking was installed in the cockpit and on the swim platform. The tanks are full, all necessary spares are on board and she Literally ready to go for extended cruising. The 4550 Pilothouse motoryacht is fast comfortable easy to handle and maintain. The electrical system has been updated and new wiring, where required, was installed in the AC and DC panels along with some new circuit breakers. A new state of the art charging system was built to maintain the new North Star Carbon Foam house batteries and new 4D starting batteries.
The engine room has been thoroughly cleaned and organized. The twin 220 hp Hino engines have less than 3,000 hrs. they receive regular maintenance and recently all hoses and clamps were replaced. A fresh water flush valve was installed and the engines are flushed after use with fresh water.
The 12.5 kw Westerbeke Generator is under the cockpit hatch and in its own sound proof housing. it has been cleaned and well maintained.
The decks are solid and the wooden toe rails and bow pulpit are freshly varnished. The side decks are wide enough to allow easy access forward. The pulpit features bow roller and heavy duty windlass.
The Fly-Bridge is accessed by stairs in the pilothouse. The upper helm comfortable and has full gauges and controls. There is seating for two at the helm and 5 or 6 more on two setees. The area is covered by a new bimini top set on the new aluminum arch. The davit is sturdy and lifts the tender up onto the upper deck with ease.
Boarding MV Slowing Down is easy thanks to the wide swimplatform and doorway into the the cockpit, both of which have just been fitted with new "Sea Deck" decking. Through the sliding glass doors is the spacious salon with L shaped sofa to port and wet-bar and counter space with storage to starboard. There is room for more furniture if desired. Forward and open to the salon the U shaped galley has lots of counter space. There is a three burner range with oven, microwave/convection oven, Medium sized refrigerator/freezer and a large basin with hot and cold pressure water.
Up 4 steps is the large well designed pilothouse. There is an L shaped setee to port, AC distribution panel to starboard and a full width V shaped console forward. The DC distribution panel is to starboard, engine controls and gauges and navigation display are center. Large wrap-around windows provide excellent visibility. Sliding doors to port and starboard provide easy access to the side decks.
Down three steps from the salon is a foyer with access first to the guest head to starboard and the guest cabin to port. The guest head has a separate shower, the guest cabin has a full size bed, 2 opening ports and ample storage. The wood work and furnishings are clean updated and in great shape. Forward of the guest cabin the Washer/dryer does not work and will need to be replaced or done without.
The master cabin, forward has a queen size walk-around berth with drawers at the foot, 2 hanging lockers one to port and one to starboard. 4 opening ports and 2 hatches provide excellent ventilation. There is an adjoining office space with a desk and setee that can be closed off and converted to a third cabin with bunk beds. The master head is clean and spacious and has separate shower/bath-tub.
