DESCRIPTION

The Hallberg-Rassy 55 is the ultimate blue water cruising yacht for couples and small families. Lalaria has all the blue water toys expected of such a capable sailing and also boasts the popular centre line berth in the aft cabin and armchair layout in the saloon.
Lalaria is an exceptional example of the class and has been meticulously maintained by a reputable maintenance company every year. She has sailed less than 5000 nm with her first and only owner and is lying in turn key condition for her new owners. Lalaria is a Part 1 British Registered Yacht.

Accommodation

All interior woodwork in light mahogany matt silk finish. Flat locker doors, invisible hinges and ventilation above. Floor is varnished teak with inlaid holly strips. Saloon and aft cabin ceiling has paneling with mahogany strips and ceilings in remainder of boat have light lining. Cushions in aft and forward cabins mattresses resting on unvarnished, well-ventilated boards to avoid condensation. Handholds are in all the right positions. The boat is carpeted throughout, except directly in front of the galley, press studs avoid movement. Nine Hella Turbofans installed throughout accommodation. Portholes and skylights are fitted with cream curtains. LED lighting throughout. SV160 Minisafe for personal effects.
SALOON 
Blue upholstery in saloon with Scotch guard protection.The settee offers comfortable seating. On the starboard side a 2.35 / 7’ 8 1/2’’ long L-sofa that has backrests with hinges so that the space behind can be utilised as storage. Lee cloth for sofa. The sofa corner is rounded. Retractable 48" TV also behind sofa with connection to Fusion stereo.
On port side two armchairs with stowage between, the armchairs can be lifted to reveal additional storage. Between the seating a strong table with foldable sides. Bottle storage in table and compartment next to sofa.  Clock, Barometer and environment instruments by Weems & Plath mounted on main bulkhead. Headroom in saloon 2.02 m / 6’ 7 1/2’.’ Three opening skylights with Oceanair sky screens.
GALLEY 
U shaped, placed to starboard. Working surface in Corian® white composite surface with strong, all round wooden fiddle rail, which is milled so it can be used as a handhold as well. Two carefully insulated boxes with baskets, one top opening box for fridge and one top loaded in the walkthrough for freezer. The latter may be switched over to fridge using the same compressor. Fridge and Freezer compressors are sea water cooled. Extra deep, double sink with covers and stowage for covers. Fresh water foot pump. 3 burner Force 10 gas cooker with oven, well gimballed and locking device for oven door and also for the cooker when in use in the marina. Fan extractor over cooker. Electric gas switch. Microwave oven with stainless steel front. Crockery locker and cutlery drawer. Bread board. Room for saucepans and other kitchen utensils. There are special places for the waste bin and other items. Red light for night time navigation,
FORWARD HEADS COMPARTMENT 
Bulkheads and lockers in white formica. Teak grating, Corian ® white composite surface wash basin and Corian® countertops. There is a large mirror. Separate shower with watertight shower stall, plexi glass doors. Shower water drained by pump directly overboard without going into bilges. Hand switch for shower pump for upmost safety. Jabsco electric toilet with fresh water flush, 80 litres holding tank, emptied by gravity or by deck pump out. Cupboard above and below washbasin. Candy half load washing machine in locker. Electric towel dryer. Removable pole for sea clothes. Ventilation through opening porthole and hatch.
FORWARD CABIN 
The door to the forward cabin has been arranged in such a way to allow free movement for dressing and undressing. Two 2.12 m/7’ long berths with lee-cloth. Ample stowage above and below and in addition a number of lockers. Large deck hatch with Oceanair sky screen. Hinges aft for light, ventilation and access for sails. Dorade vent on fore deck.
STARBOARD SIDE CABIN 
On starboard a sleeping cabin, either with two berths on different levels. Lee cloths for both berths.  The upper berth is then foldable to create more elbow space when not in use. There is a mirror and hanging locker. Opening skylight with Oceanair sky screen.Width of berths increased by 2" at owners request.
CHART TABLE & WALKTHROUGH
A comfortable chart table seat with spacious chart table. 24v distribution panel next to navigator seat including generator and heating controls, fuel and water gauges and Mastervolt LED readouts. Fusion Stereo linked to hidden saloon speakers, TV and Sea & Symphony cockpit speakers Above a shelf and space for mounting instruments like radar/chart plotter etc. Binocular rack. Five drawers and stowage slots. There is a larger rubber sealed door access to the walkin engine room off the walkthrough. Bookshelf for A4 files. Red light for night time navigation. Good headroom 1.96 m/6’ 5’’ in the walkthrough thanks to use of cockpit coaming for headroom.
AFT CABIN 
Aft cabin has two hanging lockers on portside and queensize centreline berth with upgraded sprung mattress. Stowage room below and above. Service and engine batteries installed below berths.There is a mirror fitted. Seat to port and seat with vanity table to starboard. Opening skylight with Oceanair sky screen. 
AFT HEADS COMPARTMENT 
Bulkheads and lockers in white formica. Teak grating, Corian ® white composite wash basin, Corian ® composite countertops and two large mirrors. Separate shower with watertight shower stall, plexi glass doors. Water maker installed in cupboard in shower stall. Shower water drained by pump directly overboard without going into bilges. Hand switch for shower pump for upmost safety. Jabsco Electric toilet with fresh water flush, 80 litres/21 US gallon holding tank, emptied by gravity or by deck pump out. Cupboard above and below washbasin. Electric towel dryer. Removable pole for sea clothes. Ventilation through opening porthole.
