DESCRIPTION

Check out TATOOSH's website!

TATOOSH is one of the most luxurious wooden yachts ever commissioned in the Pacific Northwest. Seattle’s Vic Franck Boatyard built TATOOSH in 1961 for the Boeing family.

Design-wise her pedigree is impeccable: hull of 2" edge-grain yellow cedar planking by Ben Seaborn (of the famous 26' Thunderbird class) and rigging by New York’s Sparkman & Stephens. Her dimensions are ample: 20' beam, 65 ton displacement, 5' freeboard, 8' draft plus another 3' with the centerboard lowered.

Below decks, the layout emphasizes space and comfort: a 20 x 20' main salon, three guest staterooms including two complete heads with hot showers and sinks, crew cabin and aft cabin. The galley, with two teak-edged built-in freezers and 4-burner stove makes provisioning and feeding guests and crew a snap, while also giving capability for a nonstop passage.
