DESCRIPTION

2005 Sadler 290 £49,500
Its rare to find a twin keel Sadler 290 on the market. This vessel does has an RCD Category A rating. The quality of fit out is of the highest order and there are several very clever design ideas that make her an easy yacht to cruise comfortably. “Isis” has a fantastic inventory from central heating to easily handled fractional rig, huge cockpit locker and capacious aft berth.

Accommodation

Six berths in three cabins including the saloon. Full 6ft 3in headroom in saloon. Teak and teak faced ply fit-out.

Forward cabin with two single berths converting to a double with ingenious V berth infill. Fore hatch, hanging locker and shelving.

Heads compartment to port which is completely moulded for ease of cleaning. Electric marine toilet, shower with pump out and stainless-steel sink. Plenty of storage.

Saloon with settee berth to starboard and L shaped settee to port with large folding leaf table between. Teak and holly saloon floor. The salon has a stereo radio, colour TV/DVD player and Glomex booster aerial on the mast.

Aft facing chart table to starboard with chart stowage, 240 & 12V distribution panels and navigation equipment.

Door to aft cabin to starboard with vast double berth, two opening ports and hanging locker.

Engine access is extremely easy with steps hinging forward, large removable lid and two complete sides removing for maintenance.

Galley to port in L shape and with bulkhead is very easy to operate at sea. Stainless steel sink (hot and cold pressurised fresh water supply heated via engine), two-burner gas cooker with grill and oven and large top opening fridge.

There are seven opening ports in the coach roof and three deck hatches for excellent ventilation. Curtains and burgundy upholstery throughout. Mikuni diesel fired central heating system.

Sails and Spars

Fractional Bermudan sloop rig. Silver anodised aluminium tapered mast and boom by Selden Masts, 2006. Stainless steel standing rigging, 2006 with back stay tensioner. Terylene running rigging, led aft to cockpit. Two Antal W302 self-tailing stainless-steel winches. Two Antal W16 self-tailing stainless-steel secondary winches. Antal W8 stainless steel secondary winch. Single line slab reefing to mainsail with lazy jacks on stack pack type mainsail cover (Doyle2014). Goiot head sail furling system.

Sails:

1 x Mainsail (Doyle 2006 two reefs Very good condition)

1 x Genoa (Doyle good condition, valeted 2013)

Mechanical Systems

Located under companionway with fantastic access, 2006 Beta BD733 marine diesel engine. 20 hp diesel engine. Three cylinders. Fresh water-cooled. Saildrive gaiter was replaced in 2015 as was the heat exchanger. Three bladed fixed propeller with a spare folding propellor. Single lever engine controls. 61 litres fuel capacity in grp tank. The engine has done approximately 490 hours and was last serviced in October 2018. The boat has been ashore since October 2018 antifoul and anodes will be required. There is an engine spares kit, i.e fan belt, impeller and filters onboard.

Electrical Systems

4 x 12-volt batteries, 2 x domestic (new 2018), 1 x engine (new 2018), 1 x windlass. Charging from the engine alternator, shore power connection with 12-volt battery charger, and 240-volt ring main.

Built by Rampart Yachts to her Stephen Jones design. White moulded grp hull with style stripes. White transom with gate. White grp coachroof with teak laid cockpit seats and cockpit sole plus two teak seas fitted to the pushpit. Tiller steering to spade rudder. Lead/antimony twin keels. Self-draining cockpit and anchor well. Moulded toe rails. Stainless steel rails, stanchions and guard wires. Seats to aft rails. Midship cleats. Vast cockpit locker with integral self-draining gas locker. Walk through transom.
