The Sadler 29 is a well designed boat with 6 full sized berths, plenty of head room, a fixed forward facing chart table, well designed galley , good sized heads and wet locker compartment. The boat is constructed with a foam core which not only provides in built buoyancy but also provides excellent sound proofing and insulation. We have slept on board quite happily when it was -5c outside and the decks were covered in ice!
The Sadler 29 has always been a sailor's boat. There is a "go anywhere" look to the boat with a relatively high bow, strongly raked stem and bold sheerline, the boat rarely slams in rough seas unlike some designs. The rudder is transom hung and fully skegged, this not only protects the rudder blade but improves tracking and reduces steering loads. With the sails properly trimmed the boat will track happily with no hand on the tiller. From her home in north Kent, we have sailed her happily up the east coast to Essex and Suffolk and have also crossed the channel several times in her.
My Escape has been lifted out each winter and stored ashore.
