This Rival 41 represents an opportunity to own a yacht that is both a classic and also relatively young. Her pretty hull shape and interior styling is a nod to the past but, with a build completion year of 2001, this yacht comes without many of the issues associated with owning a 'classic boat'.
Lightly used since that 2001 completion date, she is in a better condition than many other Rival's of her age. It is believed that her first owner never made use of her, and her second ownernever left Irish or UK waters apart from perhaps brief visits across the Channel to NW France.
The current owner bought her in 2008 and had her professionally delivered to Portugal, before sailing her around the Mediterranean during the summer months, until 2013. Unfortunately, due to outside circumstances, she has been out of the water ever since. Reluctantly, the current owner hopes to find a buyer that might continue the story.
Her condition is still good, with only some caulking issues, due to sun damage. The price reflects this, but remains a very good prospect for anyone looking to buy a classically-styled yacht that is capable of making long passages, or an affordable cruiser to explore the Greek islands.
