Construction
Songster was built by Oyster Marine, Ipswich UK to a Holman & Pye design, fitted out by Landamores in 1979, and first commissioned in 1980. She has a GRP hull, superstructure and deck with moulded non-slip surfaces. She has an encapsulated long fin keel and a skeg hung rudder, ideal for serious offshore cruising. Dark blue hull with white trim, and her hull was polished and antifouled in 2019.
Owner's Comments
After 6 years onboard and some truly amazing journeys we’ve decided it’s time to "swallow the anchor" and head for home Down Under to spend more time with our family. Songster has already proven her seaworthiness by a circumnavigation and six Atlantic crossings. She is ready to take on the World's oceans once again, or for more lazy day sails through the Caribbean islands. All that remains for the new owners to do is provision her with your favourite foods and set sail! We will genuinely be sad to leave her.
Registration
Songster has a UK SSR registration, is EU VAT paid (documented), has a Panama Canal Ship Identification Number and there are no known outstanding encumbrances.
