Navigator had a winning design with the 53 Classic, a handsome pilothouse cruising yacht introduced in 1995 with the right mix of features and price. Indeed the 53 remains a good value today compared with other yachts of her size, delivering a lot of boat for the money.
Built on on easy-riding, modified-V hull with a slender 15 foot beam, the three stateroom interior of the 53 Classic is arranged with the galley forward in the salon and a U-shaped dinette in the pilothouse. The full-beam salon is spacious and very comfortable and both heads contain separate stall showers.
The cockpit is huge with just over 100 square feet of usable space, perfect for entertaining and fishing. Topside, wraparound lounge seating aft of the helm will seat a small crowd.
Additional features include an integral swim platform, pilothouse deck access door, a spacious engine-room and excellent helm visibility. Twin 370hp Volvo diesels cruise the Navigator 53 Classic at 15-16 knots and deliver a top speed of around 20 knots.
