Fifty Cal is something very special, built by Halmatic at huge cost using very high tech materials and construction methods for her day. Making her extraordinarily fast and light with fabulous range and economy as a result. The build was started in 1986 and completed in 1987 when the yacht was handed over to its first owners; they employed a full time Skipper who kept it professionally maintained until 2008. The full details with photographs show many clever and detailed ideas that were incorporated in her design. In August 2012, the current owners purchased it. Since 1999, the boat has had an extensive re-fit, starting with the replacement of the main engines, with the more powerful Sabre 350Cs, together with other replacements and improvements.
