This De Vries Lentsch 55 Ketch has been extensively refitted by her current owners.
Her antique 50 year old steel hull has been fully restored to immaculate condition, and everything else rebuilt except for some classic original features that give the boat its charm.
She benefits from a brand new engine, new electrics, new sails, and new rigging, as well as a cosmetic uplift. Her running rigging has been replaced in May 2018 with Dyneema.
The steel hull of this De Vries 55 was sandblasted, painted and re-antifouled in 2016. She was also checked by a surveyor at this time, who found her hull to be in very good condition.
This De Vries Lentsch 55 ketch is powered by a newly fitted Yanmar diesel engine with only 50 hours, she had a 50 hour service in January 2018.
Her owners also had a bow thruster fitted with a new motor in 2016.
This ketch rigged De Vries Lentsch 55 features a main sail and genoa from 2016, her mizzen sail and self-tacking jib are in very good condition.
Her rigging was tightened and tensioned, with new pins, in 2017. All lines are in excellent condition.
The mainsail has electric boom furling, allowing easy reefing in heavy weather and seamless single handed sailing.
All winches are in excellent condition, the main winch is electric and from 2016.
