VERY MOTIVATED VENDOR - OFFERS INVITED. Boveney was built for the Norfolk Broads River Authority in 1962 and built to a very high specification with teak on oak frames. In 1983 her previous owner bought her from the water authority and continued to use the boat on the Norfolk Broads. In 1986 Boveney was brought to Henley for the Traditional Boat Rally auction, but was purchased before auction by her previous owner and was used for the regatta in 1986. In 1987 she was refurbished and the original Mercedes diesel engine was replaced by G-Mech Marine with the current 1.6 Watermota to make her run more quietly.
The sea toilet has been replaced with a chemical toilet, and the gas cooker was replaced with a sink along with a 10 gallon water tank added to the stern to balance the petrol tank. In 2017 she was professionally revarnished on the decks and superstructure. She now comes complete with a launching trailer and has a Boat Safety Scheme Certificate until 2022
