The interior lay-out is a custom collaboration of Fenwick Williams and Waldo Howland, while the masterful hull was penned by none other than C Raymond Hunt. The Concordia Company commissioned over 100 sailboats between 1938 and 1966 and the German shipyard Abeking and Rasmussen built virtually all of them, this one included. There is a separate owner's aft cabin with two quarter berths, and the galley is forward in this design. In the main salon are two settee and two pilot berths, for a grand total of 6 bunks. The mast step is galvanized steel and spread over 13 floor timbers. There is a tie rod system from under the mast step to the forward chain plates to take the mast compression load. There are a total of 13 opening portholes and combined with two sets of butterfly hatches (otherwise known as skylights) this vessel is extremely well illuminated and airy. Her compliment of sails include: a main, 3 jibs--110%, 135%, and 150% (coming off a Furlex 300), 3 spinnakers--a tri-radial .85 and 1.25, and an asymmetrical single luff, as well as a storm sail and an assortment of old sails. She is powered by a frugal 38 HP Westerbeke diesel (1970's vintage) rebuilt [2012] and has one 12V starting battery [2012] and 2 6V series wired batteries [2011]. Please find the list of instruments and electronics in the inventory section of this listing. She has been cared for by the same owner for thirty six years--- fully found and in commission on Cape Cod, her home port. Some of the improvements made by the owner are 36 white oak frames to stiffen the hull between the main winches and the after lower shroud, and replacing the floor timbers with oak. The engine was rebuilt a couple of years ago and since then has only acquired 158 hours. The electrical distribution panel was completely rewired in 2013. The bottom is painted every two years with Micron 66, and was last done this year. The last survey was performed in 2006, and is available.
