When they were first built the Broom Ocean 37 was revolutionary in design having the helm over the raised deck. Moulded by Aquafibre and designed by John Bennett the boat was fitted out by Brooms of Brundall. The Ocean 37 is a good all round boat at home on the inland waterways as well as having a good reputation for being a strong safe and comfortable sea going vessel.

The boat offers accomodation for six people as follows.
To the forward of the boat is the guest cabin. There are twin full length berths with reading lights over and a small dressing table with drawers and storage. To the port side is a wardrobe and storage space and to the starboard side is a heads comprising of a marine toilet, shower and sink with pressurised hot and cold water, mirror and storage.
Hatch to fore deck.
Steps lead up to the main saloon which has the inside helm to the starboard side with full instrumentation single lever controls and helm seat. Along the side behind the helm is a row of storage cupboards and drawers with shelf above.
To the port side is there is a U shaped seating area and dining table for 6 to 8 people which can also be used as a double berth. The upholstery and carpet are predominately maroon in colour.
Mid ships to port side is the galley sharing the same level as the saloon.
The galley consists of a four ring gas cooker with grill and oven, 60 litre fridge stainless steel sink with hot and cold water.
Cupboards and drawers giving ample storage.
Steps from the saloon lead down the the state room to the aft of the boat. This consists of two large single beds with a dressing table to the rear of the cabin centre of the beds.
There is plenty of storage and hanging space in this area.
Starboard to this cabin is an en suite heads comprising of a marine toilet sink with hot and cold water and plenty of storage space.
The inside of the boat is heated via a warm air heating system.
The boat is fully carpeted and has curtains to match the decor.

located under the saloon sole, twin Perkins HT6354 145 hp diesel engines. Shaft drive to three bladed bronze propellers. Fresh water cooled via heat exchangers . Single lever Morse controls situated at the helm positions inside the saloon and on the upper deck. Full engine instrumentation. Engine hours approx 670. The engines have always been regularly serviced . The 150 gallon capacity gives a cruising range of about 250 nautical miles at 10 to 11 knots.Maximum speed 16 knots.
New fuel system including fuel tanks fitted in 2006.
BY SEPARATE NEGOTIATION: The owners are in possession of two spare engines that can be purchased for parts.
Built by C.J.Broom to a design by John Bennett. White hull with maroon stripe.
White superstructure with maroon canopy.
Semi diplacement hull with wheel hydraulic steering to twin bronze rudders.
The hull was treated with WEST osmosis treatment in 2000.
Engine mounts replaced 2011. Freshwater plumbing replaced 2015. Stanchion guardwires replaced 2010. Starboard exhaust pipe renewed 2015. The engines have been regularly serviced, last done in June 2016.
