DESCRIPTION

Renowned heavy displacement blue water cruising yacht, designed by Chuck Paine and built in 1989 / 1990 by Southern Boatbuilding in Southampton to Lloyds Register of Shipping 100A1 Classification. In 2009, it was unfortunately beached in north west France and sustained some structural damage to the hull which was professionally repaired under the supervision of a Channel Island based surveyor. It was subsequently shipped back to Guernsey and sold to the current owner who embarked on a programme of refurbishment and upgrades including having the hull stripped back and epoxy coated, topsides professionally painted, new wiring, battery charging system, Raymarine electronics package, bronze through hull fittings and engine overhaul / service. Due to a change in circumstances, this Bowman 40 is now back on the market and is being sold as seen. Whilst it is still very much an ongoing project and will require considerable expense before being re-commissioned, it does have great potential. In addition to the inventory supplied, there is a container full of other items that could be included with the yacht.
