North Wind 435, designed by Angus Primrose and built in Spain in 1988 by the renowned North Wind yard as an ocean going blue water cruiser. Awnings together with her light and airy saloon make her a great vessel for spending long periods on board in the Mediterranean or even warmer climes.
Three good sleeping cabins (6 berths plus saloon) combined with excellent living space, the uncluttered deck makes for great offshore practicality.

Owners Comments Thestral is a great boat. She is solid and handles waves and high wind with a sense of security lacking in many modern boats. She is also not a slouch, with main (reefed x1) and headsail we were doing comfortably 7kts in 22kts on a broad reach. She also looks great and we get many a a compliment when we come in to anchor. She is so spacious, the saloon very light thanks to the bay window. With the captain chairs you can read with out contortion and slouch on the sofa - very comfortable. The galley allows you to cook properly and we have cooked numerous feasts without running out of room. A huge fridge helps and loads of storage. We have upgraded and refurbished many parts including the engine with an eye on cruising blue water. We are only selling her due to family ill health and will not have the time to take her sailing in the near future. If you are looking for a boat that keeps you safe, looks great sailing, has character and built in an age when they knew how to build quality boats then Thestral is one to look at. She is ready to go blue water or cruise any where you want to take her.

Accommodation Saloon: Two captain chairs (really comfortable), adjustable table and sit around all 4 sides (very sociable), large sofa. Stern facing Nav station. With masses of storage in the saloon. Three hatches and huge bay window making it light and full height for standing through out. Galley: American Compact Force 10 3 ring oven and grill (Compact for USA) fits large lasagne dish. Two sinks. A huge fridge with freezer compartment. Cool box integrated. Full length storage cupboard. Forward Cabin: Double V berth. Reading lights x2. Shelves around the bed. Loads of storage underneath. Large locker and drawers. Heads next to it making it almost en-suite. This has new teak grating shower pump. Combined shower and basin. Loads of storage. There are two large lockers large opposite the heads. Hatch over head making it very light. Aft cabin 1 - bunks full length and storage underneath. Hanging locker. Aft cabin 2 - Double bed with storage underneath. Two hanging lockers with drawers. Reading lights and shelving around the bed. En-suite with separate full height shower, teak grating with shower pumps so keeping the bilges free of shower water. Engine located behind companion way steps with 4 points of access allowing for easy daily checks and servicing
