This is a Traditional Long Keeled Yacht with a similar design hull to the Danish LM27.  It was designed by Trident Marine UK Ltd, Portchester, Fareham, Hampshire who brought the LM27 moulds when LM ceased trading.

Cockpit Tiller Steering or Wheel Steering in the Wheelhouse.  Five Berths comprising of two double berths and a single berth. Saloon, Separate Heads and Galley.

Scanyacht 290 Description

This yacht was the successor to the Danish designed LM27.  When LM ceased trading David Love of Scanyacht purchased the mould tools and designed the Scanyacht 290 using a modified hull which was built by Trident Marine, Fareham, Hampshire.

Accommodation

This yacht has an aft cockpit with tiller steering, large folding table and full canvas canopy.  The wheelhouse has swing doors and built in washboard leading into saloon.  The two-seat wheelhouse with its panoramic views, includes the galley, navigation area and covered steering position.

The galley is equipped with a gas cooker / grill with a twin hob burner, sink and 12volt Top Loading Fridge. Hot & Cold Pressurised Water.

Stepping down into the saloon there is a separate heads on the port side with a storage hanging locker opposite.  The saloon has bench seating on either side with a center folding leaf table which converts into 2.03 mtr / 6'8" double berth. Opposite the other bench seat with a trotter box into the forecabin provides a single berth.  There is also a foreward cabin providing a Vee shaped double berth.

Joinery finished in teak, holly flooring, Oceanair blinds for port lights & deck hatches.  Saloon headroom is 1.82 mtrs / 6'0".
