MECHANICAL

Yanmar 1GM10 single cylinder 9hp inboard diesel engine installed new in 2004. Current engine hours approx 150. Raw water cooling and alternator charging to 2 x 100 amp/hr 12 volt batteries (2016). 5 gallon fuel tank with a consumption per hour of around ¼ of a gallon at a cruising speed of about 5 knots with a maximum speed of about 6 knots. Shaft drive to fixed 3 blade propeller.

NAVIGATION

Plastimo Contest compass, NASA Clipper instruments including echo sounder, log, wind speed and wind direction. Navman DSC VHF radio, tiller pilot, radar reflector, clock and barometer, navigation light, steaming light, tri colour masthead light and anchor light.

SAFETY

6 person liferaft (2002, may need service), manual bilge pump.

DECK GEAR

Stainless steel pushpit, pulpit and guardwires, sprayhood, spraydodgers, cockpit cushions, boarding ladder, tiller, 2 sheet winches, one halyard winch, outboard bracket on pushpit, 15lb main anchor with 30m of chain and warp, mooring warps and fenders.

SAILS

Slab reefing mainsail (1998) with mainsail cover(1998). Genoa roller reefing system with furling No 1 Genoa (sail new 1998). Cruising chute (1998). Spare set of sails from 1980. Alloy mast and boom and stainless steel standing rigging (her standing rigging was renewed in 2004).

DOMESTIC

Her galley has a gas cooker with 2 burners, oven and grill, water supply to the sink from a 15 gallon fixed water tank. Separate heads compartment has a marine toilet. Blue upholstery with curtains and carpets.
ACCOMMODATION:
There are 5 berths in 2 cabins including 2 “V” berths in the forward cabin that convert to a double, her saloon table lowers to form a double berth to port with a further quarter berth to starboard.

OWNERS COMMENTS

“Chimera” was purchased by her current owner in 2014 and she has been based here at Tollesbury Marina. Her owner describes her as being a very safe and well built boat, she has had many upgrades over the years including fitting of a new diesel engine in 2006 and new standing rigging in 2004. Her last survey was in February 2010 and we understand that she was epoxy coated below the waterline in 2005. Her windows were renewed in 2005 and her head lining renewed in 2010. Overall an excellent family boat, well presented and ready to go.
