This Marine Projects Sigma 38 is a fantastically presented and highly fitted out example of the extremely popular Cruiser-Racer design from David Thomas and built by Marine Projects Plymouth ltd in 1988.
This Sigma 38 is powered by a 2005 Volvo Penta 29hp diesel engine with 3 blade folding propeller.
She comes well equipped for both cruising and racing with a North Dacron mainsail; roller furling genoa Dacron DC 2017; North Dacron No 3 genoa; storm jib and cruising spinnaker. As well as race sails including 2012 double taffeta moulded membrane mainsail; lightweight and heavy spinnakers.
The rigging on this Sigma 38 is of equally high spec with double spreader fractional rig in Anodized aluminium with stainless steel standing rigging; hydraulic back stay tensioner and Lewmar self-tailing winches.
She is also kitted out with Raymarine navigation instruments including: 2010 DSC VHF radio, speedometer, depth sounder, 2009 wind/speed, compass, radar, autopilot, 2009 AIS receiver and GPS.
This Sigma 38 can accommodate 10 within 3 double berths and 4 single berths in the saloon.
Additional features include: teak decks and teak finished interior; galley with hot and cold pressurised water, Waeco fridge and Plastimo hob/oven; 12 volt electrics throughout; radio; CD/DVD player (2012), anchor delta & chain, Lofrans 1000watt electric anchor windlass, Jabsco manual toilet (2011), and navy blue acrylic wheel cover.
This Sigma 38 also comes equipped with a 2.4m inflatable tender.

The interior of this Sigma 38 features teak finish and light upholstery. The galley to starboard includes sink with hot and cold pressurised water, Plastimo oven/hob and Waeco fridge.
There are 12 volt electrics throughout this Sigma 38 supplied by 2 x 12volt 110ah 2016 domestic batteries and 1 x 12volt 70ah 2015 start battery which are charged by the engine alternator.
There is also a mains shore power supply which has an in-line 40a battery charger facility.
This Sigma 38 provides accommodation for 10 with and 3 double cabins and 4 single berths.
The forepeak features a double V-berth with sail storage beneath.
To aft two further cabins offer double berths.
There are also a further 4 berths that can be created from the convertible saloon seating.
