1997 NIMBUS 310 COUPE Powered by a single Yanmar 4LH-STE 230hp diesel through a shaft – 4 berth accommodation with toilet, shower and compact galley. Specification to include; bowthruster, warm air heating, electric windlass, trim tabs, Garmin plotter and brand new canopy. The Nimbus 310 is a popular versatile cruiser, known for its quality build, performance and good accommodation for a boat of 31ft!
Nordic Gemis a 1997 single engined Nimbus 310 Coupé owned by us since February 2019. With her reliable and frugal 230hp Yanmar turbo diesel engine and semi-displacement hull she is capable of top speeds of around 20 knots, can comfortably cruise at around 15 knots, or 7-8 knots at displacement speed. She is capable of covering up to 4-5 nm on a gallon of diesel giving a theoretical range of over 250 nm. Hydraulic trim tabs keep the vessel level at semi-planing speed. The bowthruster makes docking easy.
In generally good condition with low engine hours (870). The hull has been professionally sandblasted and copper coated – which is in good condition. The topsides have recently been professionally cleaned, polished and coated with ceramic finish. The previous owner replaced the anchor winch motor, gearbox and controller, fitted a 320 style cockpit cover made to order by the same company that supplies Nimbus and added a Raymarine Autohelm system and AIS receiver. Together with the Garmin combined radar and chartplotter this system makes passage planning easier and safer. The autohelm enables push button steering and keeps a steady course in choppy seas. We have purchased a new cockpit cover a couple of years ago so there is a spare, making exchange easier.
Accommodation includes two large double-berthed cabins and an open, light saloon and galley. Heads include washbasin, toilet and shower. The 320 style cockpit canopy means the cockpit can be used for meals etc. The folding table can be transferred between saloon and cockpit. The wide wrap-around windscreen gives excellent forward vision from the helm and the sliding hatches provide plenty of ventilation. We have had a custom, wrap-round protective cover made for the windscreen and side windows. New curtains throughout, 2020.
Single engine: Yanmar 4LH-STE 230 hp; Transmission: Hurth HSW 630 A1 gearbox; Propeller: Skeg protected bronze 4 blade 19 x 23 on shaft. Rope cutter. Engine:hours 870.
