"Carenza" was born in 2002 as a "fast cruiser", this is what designers' remarks note on hand-drawn plans of the boat. Made by British enthusiasts using so called cold mold technology - cedar planking with layers of glass-epoxy. Main features of the boat are: light displacement (2,85 tons), powerful sail plan, fractional rig, retractable bowsprit, ballast tanks (!), spade rudder, "L" shaped kiel with bulb, VOLVO Penta 2 cyl. inboard with S drive and folding 3 blade prop.
