DESCRIPTION

The Maxi 95 is a cleverly designed family cruiser from the board of Pelle Petersen. They are easily handled, with good performance, and have a light and airy interior with two double sleeping cabins separate from the main accommodation. This example is in very good condition - her resprayed topsides gleam, the interior is excellent with lovely upholstery and she has a year 2000 Beta marine engine that gleams. Well worth inspection.

Accommodation

The accommodation offers up to six berths. There are two sleeping cabins separate from the main accommodation.

In the forecabin, V berth with stowage under. Opening hatch to deck. Door to the saloon.

In saloon, two settee berths and full standing headroom. Two settee berths with storage under and above. Large saloon table with engine under, can seat eight persons. Carpeting to sole.

Galley to port. Two burner Plastimo Neptune gimballed gas cooker with grill. Stainless steel sink with pressurised hot and cold fresh water supply. Approx 25 gallon freshwater capacity. Cool box. 12/240 volt portable refrigerator, 2019. Various crockery, cutlery and glassware all included plus cooking utensils and 240V kettle & toaster.

Separate heads compartment to starboard with marine toilet (with holding tank, with manual pump out) and washbasin.

There is a useful stowage area under the cockpit behind the companionway which houses the batteries, calorifier, holding tank and more.

The aft cabin is accessed via a separate companionway from the cockpit. Two single berths.

Eberspacher diesel fired central heating system to saloon and forward cabin. Radio/CD player. New acrylic windows in 2017. The blue draylon upholstery is recent. Some duvets and bed linen are included.

Mechanical Systems

Located under saloon table with excellent access. Beta Masrine BD722 marine diesel engine, installed new in year 2000. 20hp. Three cylinders. Electric start. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Shaft drive to two bladed fixed propeller. Single lever control. Approx 25 gallon fuel capacity in stainless steel tank. This gives approximately 270 mile range at 6 knot cruising speed. Maximum speed under power 7 knots. The engine does not have an hour meter, but hours are believed to be low. Last owner serviced in 2018.

Construction

Built in 1978 by Pelle Petterson AB to their own design. White GRP hull with dark blue sheer strake. The hull has an epoxy coating. Rubbing strake. White GRP superstructure with moulded non-slip to deck. Self draining centre cockpit. Teak gratings to cockpit sole and drop leaf table. Fin keel with encapsulated ballast. Wheel steering. Skeg hung rudder. Cockpit lockers.

Mythos is in very good order throughout and has been meticulously maintained and lightly used. She was laid up at the end of 2018, engine serviced and remained ashore since. There is a 2017 survey available.
