The current owner of 'Snatch' bought the plans from designer Angelo Lavranos and had her built in Cape Town by Samson Engineering, under Lavranos' close inspection. She was built and has been maintained to a very high standard and has all the service records to prove it. 'Snatch' is currently in Port Owen, South Africa awaiting her new owner.

She was lifted in October 2017 for new antifouling and new paint on the blue uppers, the packing in the stuffing box was renewed, her thru hulls were checked and anodes replaced.
This 1985 Lavranos 43 is powered by a Deutz 912FL3 41hp Air Cooled Engine with oversized twin diesel filter system.
The rigging on this Lavranos 43 Cutter rigged sloop includes: running backstays; adjustable backstay; roller furling genoa, new bearing 2016; staysail hood roller furling, spinnaker pole on mast; all rigging replaced with Norseman fittings in 1998 checked in 2016; 3x Barlow Winches on Mast; and 1x Lewmar 16 self tailing winch, on mast.
Her sails include: Fully battened main sail (2016); cover for main when on boom; genoa, excellent condition (2012); staysail good condition; gennaker good condition in sock.
