Accommodation The Hunter 340 offers 6 berths in two cabins and the saloon. The forward cabin has a V berth with an infill to make into a double berth. There is storage beneath the berth. The saloon has a large U shaped settee to Port and a settee to Starboard. There is a large saloon table that will easily seat 8 people around it. The saloon table drops to make into a double berth. The Navigation station is aft of the Starboard settee and faces aft. It has a large chart table and lots of room to store books and mount navigation equipment. The saloon has a stereo/CD player and large TV. Aft of the Navigation station is a large heads with a single basin with hot and cold water, shower and marine toilet with holding tank. The galley, which is spacious for a yacht of this size is opposite with twin stainless steel sinks, 12V fridge, 2 burner cooker with oven, microwave and lots of storage space. Aft of the galley is the large owner?s cabin with double berth, with hanging locker and storage beneath the berth. The companion way steps lead to the aft cockpit that has all-round seating, lockers and a walk through transom which makes access easy. It also has a full cockpit enclose which makes the cockpit another living space. Sails and Spars The Hunter 340 has a fractional rig with aluminium mast and boom. It has stainless steel standing rigging and Terylene running rigging. It has an 80% batten Mainsail with single line reefing with lazy-bag, furling Genoa with all lines led aft. Hunter has engineered the mast to carry less weight aloft with smaller sections. This is accomplished by utilising swept-back spreaders and reverse diagonals we well as mast support struts.
