COMMENTS
This Huntsman 28 being one of the first built (Hull number 6) is one of only a handful to retain her original name from new. She was originally Lloyds registered under registration number 303349. The details can still be seen stamped into one of the cabin formers. She has undergone a complete restoration in 2001/2 and includes the following upgrades. This is a beautiful Fairey Huntsman 28 fitted with her original engines. She has benefited from a no expense spared restoration to her decks, hull and electrical systems and provides many admiring glances and comments from owners of modern yachts. A programme of restoration together with sensitive modernisation has taken place especially in the important areas of safety, navigation and comfort for the owner and his guests. Areas of attention still exist and include the completion of new cockpit engine covers and cockpit sole as well as the customisation of the galley area with an oven/grill installation. This Huntsman represents outstanding value for money and will provide the new owners with a very creditable boat. As a testament to the bullet proof nature of her hot moulded construction and Fairey’s aviation heritage an option exists to re engine her with engines up to 250HP without any modification to the basic structure of the boat. Owners who have chosen this modification have increased the speed potential up to 38 knots and beyond. Owners of Fairey boats benefit from a magnificent Owners Club with plenty of advice being available through the web site. A network of specialist firms is available who are capable of tackling all aspects of work on these fabulous classic boats. She underwent a full survey in 2003
