DESCRIPTION

UNDER OFFER - 1987. 55ft GRP Cutter rigged Ketch. Wheel steering in center cockpit pilothouse. Long Fin with winged keel shoe. Thornycroft 121HP Diesel. Extensively re-fitted and fully modernised between 2011 and 2014. 8 berths in 4 cabins.

DECK GEAR

The unique rigid pilothouse was added in 2014 and covers the 12' long and 8' wide cockpit area. It has 7 fixed glass windows to the front and sides and 7 roll up flexible side panels to rear and gives crew great protection, superb all round panoramic views and the ability to sail in almost any weather conditions. Substantial centre mounted cockpit table with opening leaves and internal storage. Overall teak decking with 6 deck hatches new in 2013. All sail control lines are fed back into the pilothouse so little foredeck work is required. There is also a large foredeck cabin style workshop/storage area reached through a deck hatch, providing access to the anchor chain locker, workbench and ample storage. A separate large deck storage locker houses 3 further ancillary anchors, various mooring lines and the anchor windlass control.

SAILS

The Sails consist of a 110% genoa, an inner staysail, both on new roller reefing gear. The mainsail and mizzen are stored and set from on-mast reefing system. Large Cruising Chute with snuffer. All sails supplied by TAB/UK. Main mast, Mizzen and poles supplied by Kemp. The winches are all self-tailing and made by Barlow.
All stainless steel standing rigging and safety lines were renewed in 2013.

DOMESTIC

The main saloon is reached from the forward end of the cockpit down centrally positioned open tread steps, leading into a full width and height spacious living area containing on the portside a large dining table with 2 fold down leaves and surrounded by new comfortable seating. To starboard is a matching 3 seater unit and a navigation area with a swivel seat. There is plenty of cupboard space foe storage and a choice of lighting combinations. All flooring throughout the entire vessel has been renewed.
The galley is reached from the saloon and consists of an all new full length worktop unit with cupboards and a new 24v refrigerator underneath. The worktop contains a new 4 ring 230v covered electric hob, a double bowl stainless steel covered sink and copious under and over storage. Opposite, there is a new built-in electric oven and grill with a matching microwave oven plus three large food storage cupboards. Pressurised hot and cold water throughout is supplied from 380ltrs of storage tanks to the calorifier heated by either the Webasto water heater, electric immersion coil from the generator or shore power and the main engine. The inverter supplies power to smaller wattage domestic units, such as the microwave, shaver, electric kettle etc, without the need to run the main generator. New electrical wiring for fuse and switchgear has been installed to a new distribution box. There is ample natural light, 2 extractor fans and 3 overhead strip lights along with three portholes .
Aft Stateroom is reached via the galley - it was extensively remodelled in 2013 and consists of a king sized island bed with 2 seats either side, ample storage areas and cupboards, 2 hanging wardrobes, a vanity unit with seat. Entrance to en-suite heads with sea-toilet, hand wash basin and shower with a non-slip grated floor.
Day cabin is reached from the aft end of the saloon, behind the nav area. There are top and lower single berths with storage under and a hanging wardrobe. The central bulkhead supports the 24v switch panel and access to the engine room.
Forward of the saloon is the Shower on the portside and heads to starboard with an electric sea-toilet and hand wash basin all fitted new in 2014. The toilet either discharges directly overboard or into a 120ltr holding tank.
Forward of this are the two forward cabins, each with large upper and lower berths, fitted with lea-cloths along with good storage and ventilation. Each has a hanging locker.
The engine room which is accessed from the day cabin, main saloon and the galley, contains the Thornycroft 121HP engine, the Volvo main generator, indirect calorifier, Webasto heater and 24v inverter. There is ample room and access around the equipment to do all the required maintenance tasks.
All through hull fittings and valves throughout the boat were replaced in 2012.
