MOTAVATED SELLERS

Airagone Strider is a fast, sturdy, comfortable yacht designed for day sails, cruising, or for living aboard.

She is set up to be handled easily by two people and sails very well even when fully loaded with provisions for an extended trip. Under power at 1500 rpm on flat water, she does 5-1/2 knots and burns only .62 gallons an hour! And she is capable of over 8 knots at full throttle.

Her aft quarter cabin with its private head makes fitting extra crew aboard easy. She has lots of storage space, and is well supplied with the gear needed for a couple to live aboard in comfort at anchor or under way on a longer passage.

She has been up the ICW all the way to Northern Lake Champlain in Vermont and has been cruised extensively in the Bahamas. Her 5-1/2 foot keel is a perfect compromise that makes her point well in a breeze, yet has allowed her to take the shallow areas of the ICW and the Bahamas in stride. And with her solid, well balanced hull and heavy duty rig, she can stand up to a squall and take you safely anywhere you want to go.

The owners have cruised on her since 2012, and have lived aboard full time for the last three years. They have decided to sell her only because age and arthritis are making it difficult for the skipper to move around to handle her under sail. They are shopping for a trawler and are ready to move on.

She’s a great boat, very fairly priced; and she definitely merits a good lookVMotivated Sellers

Bill Lapworth was a true pioneer in modern yacht design and his break-out Cal 40 changed the world of sailing forever. He followed the 40 with the Cal 39 which he introduced in 1971 (production MKII in ''78) In the years from 1971 thru 1986 Lapworth designed Cal 39's were produced in the US by Jensen Marine and later Bangor Punte

A well balanced boat with a fast keel, big spade rudder, stiff rig and spacious accomodations, make the Cal 39 a great performance cruiser and potential liveaboard.

The Cal 39 is a very sweet sailing boat, at home in blue water or knocking about the bay. Many 39s have been retrofit into serious cruisers and owners rave about the seakindly motion and good turn of speed. The powerful hull shape can carry sail in a blow and can also be loaded up with stores without sacrificing too much performance.GO TO FULL SPECS FOR RECENT IMPROVEMENTS
