Technical Schedule

Designed in accordance with European RCD
requirements and CE Certification, these regulations
ensure that the First 27.7 incorporates the minimum
safety requirements, including:
• Safety and protection of persons on board.
• Durability of materials.
• Safety and stability.
• Safety when manoeuvring.
• Fire protection.
• Protection of the environment and reduction of engine emissions.
HULL
The hull is single-skinned laminated GRP.
A structural inner moulding formed with unidirectional materials is bonded and laminated to the hull at various points. This plays an important structural role as it takes and absorbs the stresses at pressure points (shroud chain-plate tie rods, keel, rudder, etc.) throughout the structure, spreading these and thereby guaranteeing reduced strain on the hull.
The surface material of the inner moulding makes cleaning easier and provides a better finish.
The hull gel coat is grey in colour.
There are tile-style footholds inside the saloon.
DECK
The deck is sandwich construction (glass fibre/balsa! polyester resin) for an improved strength/weight ratio and optimal insulation.
All working and circulation areas are treated with “Picot” non-slip coating. An inner moulding is bonded to the deck interior to improve its finish.
The areas beneath the deck gear (winches, tracks, U-bolts, cleats) are strengthened at various points.
HULL/DECK JOINT
The hull deck joint is formed by an unvarnished teak toerail, bonded and screwed in position. Its mechánised assembly ensures that the hull deck joint is watertight, and provides extra safety while moving about on deck.
KEEL
The vertically retractable lifting keel is of composite construction with a lead bulb (600 Kg) and monolithic GRP fin.
The keel lifting system is by a manual pump and by a hydraulic cylinder system with built-in tackle in a pillar.
When lowered, the keel is immobilised and secured in place by way of beams.
To improve their durability, the keels are given an anti-corrosion treatment and improved finish in the factory before assembly using epoxy based coatings and paint.
STEERING SYSTEM
• Teak tiller with telescopic extension handle.
• 1 lifting adjustable rudder.
