Comments

Owners:

We bought our boat for what was planned to be an extended time at sea and I was drawn to this yacht because of the Moody reputation. She has undergone several upgrades in order to ensure she would be a safe vessel for our family. We have enjoyed sailing her but with a change in circumstances it is time for her to go to a new family.

Brokers:

This Moody 46 is a fantastic boat that is probably one of the best Blue Water / Long Distance Cruisers of its size. Recognised as one of Bill Dixon’s best designs the Moody 46 has superb living accommodation with a very impressive Owners Cabin with en-suite bathroom. Her saloon provides ample space for all the family with a well appointed forward cabin, separate twin bunked cabin, good size galley, complete with fridge & freezer compartment and even a separate forward facing nav station for passage planning. Up top, her teak decks appear in lovely condition and she has a good sized cockpit with plenty of seating space. Furthermore, she is fitted with a very powerful Yanmar 110 HP engine, that was recently installed (2020) and has completed only approx. 231 hrs. In addition, it has recently had new sails, new bow thruster and an electronics upgrade, so she is ready o make some new adventures.

Moody Yachts have long been known for building solid, well constructed boats. With the 46, Bill Dixon has managed to maximise the available living accommodation without compromise to the handling and performance of the rest of the yacht to produce a boat that has been called by many as a “Modern Classic”. This particular Moody 46 is in great condition and has benefitted from a caring and knowledgeable Owners who have loved and appreciated her. She is currently lying Southampton and is available for viewings through by prior appointment.
