Black Phantom is a steel Stornaway 50 Cutter-rigged Ketch built by J I Perry in 1969. Her last owner decided to add a wheelhouse and remove the Mizzen mast ( kept fortunately ), intending to Junk-rig her. Sadly he passed away at the early stages of the project. The new wheelhouse steel could be easily removed. She was surveyed in 2013 and her hull and deck were Ultrasound tested in 2014, revealing decent plate thicknesses. Her Ford Lehman 116hp engine was removed and is no longer available. She is clearly a major project but one that could provide a great end result.
