JBT Marine are happy to introduce this extremely impressive Ribcraft 8.8 Off-shore racing RIB with twin Evinrude ETEC 300 engines. This boat has competed in the round Britain challenge and you do feel like you are in the presence of RIB royalty when you see her.
Ribcraft are considered to be one of the very best RIB’s that you can use in UK water and this 8.8 is the very pinnacle of what the brand can achieve. She is a joy to helm and achieves fantastic speeds with very little effort. In fact, on the passage from her storage on the Isle of Wight to our sales ground, she glided across very large chop with absolutely no drama with the console providing great protection from the elements.
The engines that this Ribraft 8.8 RIB has were fitted in 2012 and have only covered 91 hours use since. The dynamic punch that the Evinrude ETEC series provide match this hull well and the two 300hp units will see her pass 50 knots. The upgrade to these engines saw this Ribcraft 8.8 no have drive-by-wire gear selection and throttles, push button start and Evinrude digital gauges.
Although this boat is set up for off-shore racing, her layout would lend itself well to provide a great family cruising machine. She has a nice music system and lots of storage onboard which would suit diving, fishing and any number of water sports.
