DESCRIPTION

This Van De Stadt Legend 29 was purchased by her current owner in 2006 after a good survey (available) and has since replaced the mast, standing and running rigging, replaced the engine with a brand new Nanni diesel in 2008, new sea cocks, skin fitting and pipework replaced and rewired in 2007 including new 12V switch panels fitted. Her traditional layout offers two berths in the saloon with two quarter berths.

Accommodation

The accommodation offers four berths in the saloon - two settee berths and two quarter berths. Forward of the main bulkhead is storage forward with a marine toilet positioned centrally under a cover. To port is a basin with manually pumped fresh water supply. Sliding door.

In the saloon there are two settee berths with storage under and outboard. New cream pvc upholstery to these berths in 2007. The galley is to port with a stainless steel sink and Voyager 2000 gas cooker with two burners, gril and oven. Various crockery and cutlery. Curtains.

Opposite to starboard is the large chart table with great stowage and electrical systems outboard.

Aft to two full length quarter berths. The engine is locaed under the companionway steps.

Masthead bermudan sloop rig. Deck stepped silver anodised aluminium mast (new in 2006) by Z Spars. 2006  running rigging. 1980 silver anodised slab reefing boom by Kemp. Spinaker pole with deck stowage. Plastimo headsail furling system, 2006. Barton 8 halyard winches on coachroof by cockpit. Gibb 40 self tailing primary winches. Gibb 28 secondary sheet winches, new standing rigging 2016.

Mechanical Systems

Located under companionway. Year 2008 Nanni 21hp marine diesel engine. Three cylinders. Fresh water cooled. Single lever engine control. Shaft drive to three bladed propeller with rope cutter. Stainless steel fuel tank. The engine was last serviced in 2012 and has done only around 80 hours.

Two 12V batteries charging via engine alternator and 240V battery charger. 2008 batteries. New Vetus 12V switch panel. Voltmeter.

Construction

Moulded by Tyler Boat Company and fitted out by Burnes Shipyard to the popular Van de Stadt design. White painted grp hull with style stripes. White grp coachroof with moulded and painted non skid decks. Encapsulated ballast in her long fin keel. Tiller steering to skeg hung rudder. Self draining cockpit. The cockpit seats have new teak effect composite decking. Teak grating to cockpit sole. Teak hand and cap rails. Stainless steel rails, guard wires and stanchions. Lazarette locker to aft deck.
