Construction
Welded mild steel hull and superstructure. Unique custom built steel shell 10/6/5. Built to plans and specification .
York Marina have many years of experience and knowledge to draw on when it comes to building live aboard boats of this type. All external fixtures and fittings including mushroom vents, Port holes,Navigation lights and the Dutch Barge style windows are chrome and polished aluminium which make them virtually maintenance free. The steel shell was spray foamed lined prior to fitting out and for extra insulation Rock wool Was used to make sure the steel work will retain maximum heat in extreme winter conditions. To complete the build we have fitted a hardwood cratch on the fore deck of the boat with a removable cratch cover.
Accommodation: Interior Lining And Fit Out:
Maple and Ash faced 9mm ply was used to line the shell with solid Ash moldings to form paneling to the cabin sides. The roof is lined with 25mm thick Ash tongue and groove boards machined in our own workshops and finished in Satin Polyurethane clear lacquer. Running through the length of the interior of the roof is a drop down section designed to incorporate lighting and more essentially the electrical cables which are easily accessible by removable panels.
Around the Dutch Barge style windows we machined Ash to suit, with GRP port hole liners to match. The floor is solid Oat secretly screwed and fastened to the 18mm exterior grade ply wood sub floor excluding the bathroom which has a water resistant composite floor covering.
Galley
Descending down in to the main cabin space from the wheelhouse we have a fully fitted galley with contemporary high gloss cabinet doors with curved corner units to form the breakfast bar. Bespoke worktops provide a striking contrast between the natural wood finish within the main cabin area creating a stunning focal point. Integral LPG Baumatic hob and fan assisted oven, stainless steel sink/drainer with monoblock tap, built in Bosch slim line washing machine, 240 volt energy efficient fridge and microwave provide the luxury you would find in many modern style apartments.
The Main Living Space:
The main cabin space has four Dutch Barge style windows giving the room a light spacious feel with port holes to the corridor, bathroom and bedroom where more privacy is required.
The starboard wall leading to the bathroom has built in a Sony Bravia 32” flat screen TV
Heads/Shower
Leading down the corridor through the solid raised and fielded Ash door into the bathroom which is again comparable to what you may expect to find in a luxury apartment. Heating and drying provided by a tall chrome towel rail, with units fitted to either side providing ample storage for towels, sundries etc. A designer porcelain sink with monoblock tap and wall mounted mirror with lighting and glass shelves give a high class look. A 1000mm x 800mm corner shower with 6mm curved glass panels with built in extraction above to eliminate steam and condensation. Jabsco 12v pump out toilet with macerator and 300ltr holding tank complete the compact yet very spacious bathroom.
The Double Bedroom:
To the end of the corridor we have another solid Ash door with an oval glazed panel hand crafted in our workshop, this leads into the double bedroom. Ash and Maple paneling create a spacious ambience with options of lighting from wall lamps, ceiling down lights and for extra light our unique fluorescent ceiling fittings. Fitted double wardrobes with integral drawer pack provide excellent storage and the bedside units including the corner unit provide further storage possibilities. Integral double bed with luxury mattress and drawers underneath for more storage and to complete the bedroom we have a
step up to the foredeck again with storage built in.
