The Wherry 270 is a completely restored Thames river skiff. A Thames skiff is a traditional wooden rowboat on the Thames River used for skiffing. Originating from Thames wherries in the Victorian era to cater to a passion for river exploration and leisure excursions on the water, these boats can easily carry 4 or 5 people. Weekends are even spent in it with a tarp. She is full mahogany, built overnaad by the yard H.Redknaps & sons. With 4 oars, the boat can be rowed by 2 people. The boat is epoxied and finished with "de Ijssel" 2-component lacquer. She can also be fitted with an outboard motor and made to sail. It is a historic sailing monument. An eye-catcher!
