This boat has been regularly maintained over time and is a comfortable fast cruiser/racer. She is competitively priced for a quick sale and should not be missed. Ideal for someone looking for a sturdy, reliable and well laid out budget cruiser with reponsive handling.
The Westerly GK 24 was designed by Laurent Giles and Chris Hawkins and is accepted as a fast racer cruiser. Hocus Pocus`s hull was initially moulded in 1980 and fitted out privately, being commissioned in 1986. Both hull and decks are constructed of GRP.
Fin keeled with transom hung rudder.
The interior is fitted out in mahogany veneer and upholstered in soft pink coloured water resistant fabric.
The cabin boasts a well thought out layout including a movable and drop leaf table and a drop down chart table enclosing a radio. (4 speaker) book shelf and GPS.
Mechanical:
Powered by a Volvo Penta MD5C with saildrive to a folding two bladed propellor.
Engine serviced twice yearly and last antifouled March 2012.
Rigging:
Masthead rigged with stainless steel standing rigging.
Aluminium spars with roller furling(2004) headsail and slab/jiffy reefing main.
Sail wardrobe consists of cruising and racing mainsails, spinnaker and three genoas.
Electric:
12V supply from two switched batteries charged by engine alternator.
Fitted with 240V shorepower and cable.Mains board includes individual switched and fused circuits and cigar lighter.I
nternal lighting cover both bunks and chart table.

The Westerly GK24 sleeps 4, with a forward double V berth and two single berths in the saloon area.
A separate toilet compartment is located forward on the starboard side fitted with a Lavac sea toilet with a foldaway wash basin.
Galley:
The galley situated on the port side is equipped with a 2 burner gas hob and grill.
Also fitted with a sink with pressurised pumped fresh water supply.
