Few yachts have the ability to grasp the attention of the looker the way this Viking Open Sportfish does. Within the same arena as Cabo, Buddy, and Hatteras. None of which were building a better express style fishing yacht than Viking in the late 90's. When you think of the great sportfish brands of today, one of the first that comes to mind is Viking. The proof is in the pudding. Viking is still making some of the greatest boats on the water today. This one in particular is a proven success story. Having offered her previous owners with years of enjoyment, her power was replaced in 2007 with upgraded Caterpillar C-12's. Generating 710hp these upgraded CAT's have the power you need to get you out to the meat market where you'll be hooked up before the others arrive. After receiving new life to the heartbeat of this workhorse, she was repurposed as a commercial fishing vessel in 2020 where she never failed her full time crew or patrons in performance, She now presents herself as a rare CAT powered and reliable workhorse, ready to bring you and your crew to any fishing grounds you choose.
Engines were replaced in 2007 with new CAT C-12's. Current hours are 2960, and are in service. Major service completed 10/2021, including all new pumps and filters, fluid samples tested, injectors serviced, bottom painted, props reconditioned, shafts polished, all new zinc's installed, after coolers removed cleaned and pressure tested. Additionally a new HVAC system was installed with 10,000 BTU, and three A/C units inspected and serviced. A new 1kw transducer was installed with high speed fairing block and GSD 25 Amp. Four new bilge pumps were installed, rotary motors on windshield were replaced, new pumps with pressure switches were installed, two new VHF antenna's were installed, new shower pumps and drains were installed along with a new hot water heater. New Garmin 7" MFD in the upper station was installed along with seven new 31 series batteries four of which are for the motors while three are house. 600' of 5/8ths inch 8 plait anchor line with 40 of chain and 43lb claw anchor.
Generator was replaced in 2020 with a 10kw Northern Lights, now 2000 hours.
