New engine gauges and full engine service
A great opportunity to purchase a race ready 2008 Velocity 390 which has had very little use. Powered by her twin staggered Mercury Racing 8.2l 502ci 525 EFI’s petrol engines, being driven on Konrad ACE drives with full external hydraulic steering, set back boxes and Sport Master lower sections.
There's something to be said for feeling comfortable when turning a boat at 80 mph. You don't do this often nor is it recommend, however sometimes you need to perform this maneuver, so when you need to turn the Velocity 390 at speed to avoid an object in the water, the boat responds well. It will let you slow down to regain your composure and then get back on the sticks to power up to a top speed of 90+ mph.
What makes this number impressive is that the 390 has a non-ventilated bottom. It runs on a wide keelpad with good old-fashioned lifting strakes and a turned-down chine.
The ability to make course adjustments at high speed makes the 390 a strong candidate for poker runs. When you slow down to 50, 60, and 70 mph, you could circle and make slalom turns handily.
As with all Velocitys, the deep freeboard provides good passenger security.
At the helm, the 390's dash is dominated by Livorsi displays and a Garmin 5012 touchscreen. Livorsi mechanical trim indicators are in perfect position on the starboard side of the panel. The cockpit is set for dual controls, throttles on the port side, navigation centre (seat insert) and driver on the starboard side. She is currently set up in pleasure mode with single control however can easily be put back to race setup.
As you go belowdecks, the boat has great headroom, probably the best in this class giving plenty of volume for storage. There is a basic interior with leather upholstery and cushions down below.
A very well balanced boat in flat and handles great in the rough, this boat is perfect for anyone looking to move into the high performance powerboat range. Part exchange will be considered.
Fully winterised and a full boat cover is keeping her in top condition, ready for her new owner.
Velocity vacuum bags the Kevlar and carbon-fiber-reinforced laminate forimproved strength and better resin distribution.
Stringers and the transom are cored with ATC linear foam.
The hull-to-deck joint is bonded with fiberglass around the perimeter.
Kiekhafer 380 K Plane Trim Tabs (The long ones)
It has 2 Driving Positions allowing the boat to be driven either Single, or Dual Controls with Full Dual Instrumentation
