BLACK PEARL -
If your dream is to cruise with safety, comfort, and style, Black Pearl has answered your prayers.
The Tayana 37 is perhaps the most successful semi-custom cruising yacht to be built; nearly 600 have been commissioned and Black Pearl is undoubtedly the best!!
The merits of the Tayana 37 are numerous and their reputation proceeds them. What makes Black Pearl standout is the recent re-fit that takes this classic and trusted design and marries it to today's modern conveniences and technologies.
Examples of this include:
Bow thruster
Schaefer In-Boom furling.
NEW B&G Electronics
Solar power.
Please read the listing; the list of improvements are impressive....
The master stateroom is forward and occupies the full width of the bow. It is perfect for a couple to spend time living aboard. The head is found to port, just aft of the forward stateroom. The head is huge and storage for toiletries abundant. The saloon door acts as a privacy door for both the forward cabin and head- very useful if guests are aboard.
The Saloon is very spacious, and has some clever and utilitarian features- The saloon table can fold to allow seating for 10 people, it also retracts on a telescopic leg to form a double berth. On the opposite side (to starboard) the seats fold out to make a large single or great sea berth while underway. Nestled behind the bunks are various storage compartments that are not immediately obvious, but very useful and a great compliment to the large, beautiful teak finished storage lockers found in the shear.
The Galley is laid out to be usable both at sea and at anchor. The U-shape galley is easy to access in a seaway as is next to the companionway steps. The galley is laid out such that even in the roaring 40's you can make dinner with comfort and safety! Once in port, the full potential of the large galley can be realized. There is enough storage for both provisions and crockery that the boat can easily serve the 10 people waiting at the saloon table! The new refrigeration is very efficient and the stove large enough for Thanksgiving dinner..
The command center is situated to starboard as you descend the companionway steps, here, not only is there a forward facing chart table but a fully functioning navigation station with chart-plotter and instrumentation repeaters that allow access to charting, radar, ais and sailing data. All of the ships navigation can be done from the comfort of the chart table (it is of course found at the helm too). The breaker panels and navigation wiring, networking and cpu's are all situated in this area so maintenance is contained within one easily accessible part of the vessel (see pictures).
