Model Details

Marand of Kip is another Scandi classic built of mahogany on oak frames. It features:

Interior Features

In the wheelhouse, there is a clean white head lining above the wrap-around seating. The sole, new in 2020, is teak style floor panel which lifts to give easy access to the engines.

The practical galley layout features:

• Taylors 2 Burner Oven & Grill
• Fridge & Icebox
• Plenty of cupboards for storage

The forward cabin features:

• A double 'V' berth with infill
• Cupboards on both port and starboard
• Overhead hatch

All berths are finished in blue upholstery, as is the wheelhouse bench seating.

In the heads, there is:

• A manual sea toilet
• A shower
• A white sink with hot & cold water

History and Usage

When the current owners bought the boat for their excursions across the Channel, they lived comfortably aboard for many months. They found her on the Thames. She has proved her worth for sea as well as for inshore work and would be easy to transport back to the Thames or even north of the border to Scotland, where loch cruising would suit this all-weather vessel extremely well.

Maintenance

Marand was ashore for antifouling and survey (please ask) in February 2024. She represents a well-priced contemporary classic suitable for sea or inland waterways cruising.
