MAKE THIS NEW COMPOSITE CATAMARAN YOURS! DESIGNED BY FAMED CATAMARAN DESIGNER JOHN SHUTTLEWORTH, BUILT BY RENOWNED CATAMARAN BUILDER, PEDIGREE CATAMARANS.
This Shuttleworth designed catamaran was built for a group of investors, who pulled out of the project, and now she needs new owners. She is virtually complete, with a few minor touches left for the new owners, which the build yard can take care of after purchase. This vessel was built in the US to ABYC standards, and built from Airex® R63 Foam, Epoxy, E-Glass, Kevlar, Carbon Fiber (hulls), and Divinycell Foam, Epoxy, E-Glass, Carbon Fiber (above the waterline). No rot, ever!
This voluminous cat has a beam of 32ft, giving her an immense amount of interior space. So much so you will want to invite your in-laws to join you! Her incredible lines are begging to hit the water, and get cruising. Shuttleworth designs are long proven to be stable, fast, proven cruising platforms, and this vessel is no different. Built completely from composite materials, she lacks nothing when it comes to performance. The Aerorig will help achieve that high performance.
A space age hardtop covers the spacious cockpit and helm station. Stainless steel goalpost arch provides a place for the traveler, and a davit for the dinghy. The bow has two large trampolines, twin anchor windlasses with anchors and chain, stainless steel railings, and forward folding beaching ladder, and storage under deck hatches. The boat has a daggerboard in the port hull, for enhanced upwind sailing performance. The daggerboard is controlled from the cockpit.
The salon is gorgeous in classic teak, fully completed, and ready for you to move into. With a large settee/dinette to port, a well thought out centerline console for cutlery, wine, etc, and the huuuge, very well equipped galley to stbd, the salon is the ultimate living, relaxing, lounging area. The joinery is exquisite, and shows the build quality, thought, and love that went into the building of this boat. The salon windows let in as much light as you could ever need, and will be awesome viewing stations while underway.
The accommodations are well thought out and laid out, with four staterooms and four heads.Aft staterooms have queen berths, and forward berths are slightly smaller double berths. Materials used are metallic silver PPG for the accommodation cabinetry, teak trim, padded vinyl wall covering, Berber carpeting, Karadon counter tops, Lewmar series 60 flush mount deck hatches.
Engine spaces are large, and easy to access all sides of the engines and systems. Engines are Volvo Penta 59hp, with Sail Drives (120s-e), with feathering, adjustable pitch stainless props. Engines are controlled with KE-4A electronic controls. There is an automatice fire suppression system. Fuel tanks carry 170 gallons in two tanks.
The Aerorig was designed for short handed sailing, and is mostly controlled from the cockpit by means of an electric winch. The main structure of the cabin and mast base on bridge deck have been majorly reinforced from initial build/design, using carbon fiber and Kevlar. The Aerorig is a freestanding, stayless mast with roller furling mainsail, built by Forespar in California.
This vessel was designed to be sailed short handed, and take on the biggest oceans. She looks fast, and is designed to be fast. Call the listing broker today, to make an appointment to see your next boat!

Primary Details:
This custom catamaran was designed by John Shuttleworth, a leading high performance catamaran designer from England. He was contracted to design a fast, smooth, safe cat that would support the newest idea of self sailing rigging, the AeroRig®. The result is the Shuttleworth 52.
She is constructed of Airex foam core, carbon fibers, Kevlar, E-glass, and Pro-set epoxy resin. Her length overall is 52'2" with a beam overall of 33'6". She has a draft of 2'10" with kickup rudders. One dagger board in the port hull raised and lowered from the cockpit. She is powered by twin 59 horsepower Volvo diesel engines with Sail Drives equiped with 3 blade full feathering and adjustabe pitch Stainless Steel props. Lots of room and easy access in the engine room, KE-4 electric engine controls and Jastram hydraulic steering. Her displacement is 16,500 and has a useful load of 10,000 lbs. Flush deck hatches, bow netting, and Ocean non-skid deck. The radar arch will handle radar and other things needed as the radar can not work very well on a rotating mast.
This Shuttleworth 52 AeroRig® is a free-standing, carbon fiber mast. This mast will assist the sailor in a virtual self sailing environment. It has been designed so a majority of the handling can be done by one person from the cockpit with an electric winch. Additional structural reinforcements were designed into the main beam and adjoining cabin top, as well as where the mast pivots in a recessed area on the bridgedeck. Roller furling main and head sails are manual, but could be operated from the helm as well..
She has a drop down boarding bow ladder, and dual electric windlasses.
She has four staterooms and four heads in the starboard and port hulls. Hanging lockers and other storage have been designed as intrinsic features.
The main salon design contains the galley and a formal seating area with table for 6-8 people. Bar stools can be added around the bar/galley and an outside portable table on the aft deck.
Additional Details:
The current design of the galley is U-shaped with a refrigerator (ac/dc quiet), propane stove oven, and microwave. The counter space is abundant, as is the amount of storage in the galley and down in the Starboard hull, kind of a pantry area. Three 100 gallon water capacity, built in tanks with two 10 gal. elec/heat ex. hot water tanks, one in each engine room. There are two holding tanks with Electra Scan waste treatment. The two full size showers are in the forward staterooms. Washer/dryer combo in the port hull. There are still lots of personal touches that can be made and items such as generator, water maker, electronics. The two aft staterooms are large and have Queen size beds and their own heads. The two staterooms forward are a bit smaller with double beds. Overhead hatches and port lights allow for a lot of air.
The cockpit features a large U-shaped seating area with easy access aft to the hulls and to the dingy deck and aft seating with storage and a live bait compartment.
