Overview

Dallinghoo is quite simply a gem of a classic yacht. The name comes from the small town in Suffolk, England which was the birthplace of Captain Francis Light. Light was a British explorer and founder of the British colony of Penang in modern-day Malaysia. In his time working for the famous East-India Company, Light would have Captained a Yacht much like Dallinghoo 250 odd years ago. The love and attention to detail that her owner has gone into to restore Dallinghoo to her former glory is exemplary. She combines the classic look and feel with modern luxury features that would be expected of a yacht today. Burmese teak abounds everywhere and the Tan-Bark Traditional weave Clipper sail cloth that would have been seen in the 18th Century stands out beautifully.

Accommodation

She is able to accommodate up to 8 guests for overnights in 4 spacious cabins, all en-suite. Originally designed to be a charter yacht for trips to the islands off Burma, she is fully equipped with:

Cabin Details

• Master Stateroom: Aft with double berth, seating area, storage and ensuite WC, hand basin and shower.
• VIP Stateroom: Midship cabin with double berth, storage and ensuite WC, hand basin and shower.
• Double Cabin: Forward portside with ensuite WC, hand basin and shower.
• Twin Cabin: Forward with upper and lower bunks, en-suite WC, hand basin and shower.
• Captain’s Cabin: Double cabin behind Navigation station offering ensuite WC, hand basin and shower. This cabin is available for guest use, if a double bed is required and Captain will move to the twin cabin.
• Crew Cabin: 4 Berth forward with bunks and ensuite facilities, accessed from the deck above and therefore totally separate from the guest accommodation aft of it.
