DESCRIPTION

Boat Overview

World sailing ship, berthed in New Zealand.

General Description

An ideal sailboat for long journeys, easily maintained and robust. The boat is well equipped for a couple to remain on board for a longer period of time. The boat is a calm sailor and sail control does not require much effort when the jib is hoisted and set by means of a special boom*. The dual asymmetrical bilge keels mean the boat can easily dry out.

Specifications
  • Shallow draught due to the keel structure, providing a wide sailing range.
  • Insulation suitable for arctic regions.
  • Large cockpit and deckhouse with a raised floor for all-round views.
  • Many windows making the interior very light.
Interior Layout

The interior consists of, from fore to aft:

  • A forward cabin with a single berth.
  • A head/shower.
  • A two-person cabin with double berth.
  • The galley built opposite the raised table in the main cabin.

The entire boat has a lot of available storage space.

Sail Features

The fore sail is unique, it is a boom jib which pivots just behind the luff. This means there is no tension on the jib sheet. Reefing the sail is like reefing the mainsail, by partly reducing it. In addition, a furling jib (Yankee) was installed in 2016.

Location

This ship is in New Zealand with one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world and near to magnificent sailing areas such as Fiji, Tonga, and Vanuatu. When sailing here you never want to leave.

Broker’s Comments

A functional ship, designed for on-board living for a couple. Well insulated and constructed of maintenance-free aluminum. Many recent innovations.
