The 1987 mounted and rebuilt engine is a non-marinized Mercedes 240 D. The speed range is around 2000 turns per minute. For cooling down the engine there is a greater cooling water volume, which is lead through a heat exchanger that is fused to the interior. Something to mention is that the engine has in fact a greater output than the primary original engine which is registered in the ship certificate.
