OWNERS COMMENTS

Brokers comments. In a bid to be helpful, and whilst recognising that the broker is not a surveyor nor boat builder, there are a number of observations which have been observed. We always recommend a full pre purchase survey, but the below is simply intended to be a helpful guide. There may be other defects, not yet observed.
The hull planks below water line appear in relatively good order, hard and no obvious signs at this stage of rotting planks, however a number of seams need to be attended too. There are some hull planks above deck level, most notably port side mid ships which are damaged and new planks would likely need to be scarfed in. Evidence of rust staining on parts of the tops sides where rigging is connected is evident
The rigging was inspected from deck level thru binoculars by a specialist rigger, Jim Dines of TS Rigging. An estimate of £16,000 was supplied in October 2022 for replacement of standing rigging. This is for guidance purposes only. No rig report is available.
The Gardiner engine had been run up regularly by the owner whilst the vessel was afloat and appeared in good running order last time she was afloat, with the exception of 1 corroded engine mount.
There is a suspected wet area around the bow stem head area. Areas of deck paint are coming away in localised patches. The inflatable dinghy seen on deck is not included in the sale.
Some sails have been briefly inspected and whilst clearly not new (year unknown) they generally appeared in serviceable condition, it is reported there is no top sail.
The boat has generally good access to rib and beams from the interior.
Batteries and wiring would appear to need further investigation.
There are numerous areas or varnishing that require attention.
The boat equipment lists has not been extensively listed and there are a lot of loose items currently on board. It is the brokers understanding the equipment seen on board will be included with the sale.
