A proven world cruising yacht that has benefitted from constant care and upgrades, Wiki Wiki is now ready for new adventures.
The Oyster 575 was designed by Rob Humphreys and the Oyster Design Team to replace the Oyster 56, which had been our most popular model with 75 launched. Built on owners’ feedback, the 575 was designed and engineered as a direct replacement – a long-range, ocean-going, bluewater cruiser and live aboard, which can be easily handled by a couple.
Overall, the 575 is a little larger than the 56, with a longer waterline length, deeper keel, increased sail area, and fuel tankage. She feels like a ‘bigger’ yacht, with more headroom and a beam that is carried further aft, enhancing off-wind performance, and allowing a more spacious owner’s stateroom. The biggest upgrade, though, was to the cockpit, which features twin wheels, a centreline walkway aft, and distinct working and relaxing areas which are also ideal for children or non-sailors whilst underway.
Oyster’s fifth-generation deck saloon design gives the 575 an attractive profile at sea. She is well-mannered and reassuring, comfortable in all conditions, and with a turn of speed that will keep the most demanding sailor fully engaged. The first 575 was launched in 2010 and remained in production until 2019. The 575 is a proven circumnavigator and consummate ocean cruiser and has only left the Oyster line-up recently to be replaced by the Oyster 565.
Wiki Wiki is in her second ownership. Originally specified for a circumnavigation, careful thought was given to making her as easy to handle; she has a simple rig, with hydraulic push-button furling to her mainsail and genoa and electric primary and mainsheet winches. Her interior joinery is hand finished in quarter-sawn oak, which is resilient and offers a bright modern feel down below. She sleeps up to eight in four cabins, without using the saloon. She has a turn of speed too and has been very successful at Oyster regattas!
Wiki Wiki is very unusual in offering superb continuity of care; her original project manager, who oversaw her build, later left Oyster to establish his own yacht care company and continued to look after Wiki Wiki for both her owners and is still doing so.
Wiki Wiki is currently lying in Montenegro and is available for viewing at any convenient time. If you are looking for a well-made and proven world cruising yacht that has benefitted from constant care and upgrades, please do just get in touch.
