The Oyster 45 is a well built, robust ocean cruiser with elegant lines, designed to be easily handled by a couple with spacious and comfortable accommodation below deck. They have a well-deserved reputation for being fun to sail and an ability to handle the worst conditions with impunity. This rare two cabin example offers luxurious accommodation for two couples, with extra berths for occasional guests. Carefully used and maintained to a very high standard from new, this is a really excellent example of these popular bluewater cruisers. We highly recommend viewing.

Accommodation

The interior layout offers up to six berths, with two double sleeping cabins separate from the main accommodation and is finished in light Oak with blue Alcantara upholstery. As befits a bluewater cruiser there is good stowage throughout. In the forecabin, good sized double berth to port with hanging locker and occasional seat opposite. There are four drawers under the berth and cupboard space opposite. Two opening deck hatches either side allow plenty of ventilation. En-suite heads forward with marine toilet, shower and washbasin. Holding tank. In saloon, generous dinette to port with settee berth opposite. Fixed table with opening leaf giving a huge dining table. Both the dinette and settee berth are fitted with lee cloths to provide safe berths at sea. Two forward opening windows give excellent ventilation Chart table to starboard with store room behind. Galley to port in walk-through to aft cabin. Four burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven. Refrigerator. Microwave oven. Twin stainless steel sinks with hot and cold pressurised water system. 636 litre freshwater capacity. There is provision for the installation of a watermaker. The hot water is heated either by the engine or immersion heater. In the aft cabin, large island double berth with occasional seat to port. Opening hatch to deck. Plenty of stowage and hanging space. En-suite heads compartment with marine toilet, shower and washbasin. Holding tank. Cruisair reverse cycle air conditioning to aft cabin. Radio/CD player with saloon and cockpit speakers.

Mechanical Systems

Located in insulated space below the cockpit, Volvo MD22 four cylinder 59hp diesel. Approximately 1900 hours. Electric start. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Saildrive to three bladed feathering propeller. Rope cutter. Single lever control. 454 litre fuel capacity giving approximately 650 mile range at 6.5 knot cruising speed. Additional Comments

This is a rare two cabin version of this popular design, which affords luxurious cruising for two couples with an enviable degree of privacy aboard in the two spacious staterooms separated by the main accommodation. There are two further berths in the saloon as well for those extra occasional guests.

A superb offshore cruiser which has been well maintained and only lightly used, now only for sale due to an unexpected change in circumstances. A high quality yacht from the renowned Oyster family.
