This is one of Alexander's most popular models (about 140 were sold during her 7-year production run). The 42 Sedan is a well-proportioned family cruiser with a sensible layout and a rakish, euro-inspired profile.
Construction and DesignLike most Ocean Alexander designs, the 42 was built on a weight-efficient modified-V hull with:
- Moderate beam
- Shallow keel
- Cored hull sides
An appealing feature of the 42 Sedan is a large cockpit that provides a good deal of open-air entertaining space for family and guests. Her interior is very innovative in that:
- A second (guest) stateroom with twin beds is fitted below the elevated galley.
