Accommodation
This boat offers 6 berths in 2 cabins with 6ft of headroom. The forward cabin features two single berths, while the main saloon includes a double berth created by a drop-down saloon table and cushion infill. Additionally, there is a double quarter berth on the port side. The boat provides ample storage and good headroom throughout. The heads is located to starboard, aft of the interior helm position, and is equipped with an electric Jabsco quiet flush marine toilet, holding tank, washbasin, and shower.
Galley
The galley is situated to port and includes a Plastimo Neptune 2000 gas cooker with oven and grill. There are 2 stainless steel sinks with pressurized hot and cold water, along with a well-spec fridge. Water heating is provided by an immersion heater, which was new in 2010. The saloon features U-shaped seating to port and a bench seat opposite to starboard, accommodating up to 7 adults. The boat is fitted with Eberspacher heating throughout, along with an upgraded thermostat and heater control, making it comfortable year-round. The floor is partially carpeted, and curtains are included. This Southerly 101 SE is an excellent cruising boat. The chart table, equipped with all navigational aids, is located to starboard and is integrated with the internal helm position. The saloon benefits from plenty of light due to the pilothouse windows that encapsulate the area. This is a very tidy boat that has been well maintained and is in good condition.
Spars & Sails
The boat features a masthead rigged sloop configuration. It has a deck-stepped Kemp aluminium mast and boom, with an in-mast mainsail and Furlex furling headsail. The standing rigging is made of stainless steel, and the running rigging is Terylene, replaced over the last couple of years. Additional equipment includes a spinnaker pole, 2 x Lewmar 40 self-tailing sheet winches, and 2 x Lewmar halyard winches. The sails include:

- Arun Sails Genoa with new UV strips

Mechanical Systems
Located under the companionway steps is a Yanmar 3GM 27hp 3-cylinder diesel engine. It features single lever Morse controls at both internal and external helms, with electric start at the external helm. The engine has a shaft drive to a fixed 3-blade prop with a stripper rope cutter. Last serviced in 2016, this engine has been regularly serviced yearly by the current owner and has undergone a staged rebuild over the last 10 years. A through-tunnel bow thruster was fitted new in 2003 by the current owner, operational from both internal and external helms, as well as a handheld remote control. Electric controls at both internal and external helms are available to raise and lower the keel.
Electrical Systems
The boat is equipped with 3 x 110AH batteries (1 x engine, 2 x domestic), all new in 2011. Charging is provided by the alternator, a Phoenix battery charger (new 2011) via a 240v shorepower system, and a Rutland 913 Wind generator (new 2010). This Southerly 101 SE is also fitted with shorepower and ring mains with UK sockets throughout the boat. All interior light fittings were replaced in 2003 and upgraded to LED in 2011.

Construction
This Southerly 101 SE was built in 1995 but not launched until 1996. The hull, deck, and superstructure are moulded in GRP and are an ivory color traditional to Southerly. The deck is also ivory and is non-slip. It has a cast iron ballast plate protecting an electrically operated hydraulic lift keel. The skeg rudder is equipped with wheel steering at both the internal and external helm positions. This Southerly 101 SE is in good condition and has been very well looked after by its current owner.
